Tea for two!

What a fun and interesting morning!

Suzanne and Francis from Museum To You joined us to do a morning on Tea. They bought in tea sets, different teas, pictures of ancient tea related ceramics from archeological digs and even performed a tea ceremony.

Our members had such an interesting time and lots of memories were shared, discussions were had and everyone learnt new things!

What a brilliant day.

Getting out and about!

More of our lovely members have been out on the Wells Community Network Tri-shaw. It’s been great for their wellbeing as many of them are no longer able to just go for a walk around town, something that so many of us take for granted.

When the moon hits your eye….!

We recently had great fun making our own pizzas here at The Lawrence Centre.

The multi talented Gilly came along to guide us and we all made our our delicious pizzas which we happily tucked into for lunch.

The smells from the kitchen were mouth watering and we all enjoyed a very tasty time!

Feeling the wind in our hair!!

We’ve been lucky enough to be able to take advantage of the fantastic Wells Tri-Shaw, and our members have absolutely loved it!

Many of them are unable to walk around town anymore and have really enjoyed the gentle ride around the Cathedral Green, Bishop’s Palace and moat and the market place.

They may not have been able to take a stroll down the high street for a while, so they’ve enjoyed seeing all the different shops and how things have changed.

The Wells Tri-Shaw is a run by the Wells Community Network and is part of the Cycling Without Age scheme. It’s designed to enable people who have mobility, health issues and isolation, to get out into the fresh air and enjoy a lovely site seeing tour around our beautiful city.

Piloted by a charming person who is riding an electric assisted bike, the Tri-Shaw is very comfortable and comes equipped with seat belts, a hood and blankets if needed.

It’s completely free and you can book via the Wells Community Network by calling 01749 467079.

We’re looking forward to getting as many of our members out and about in the coming weeks……the staff love it too!

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
